Timesavers AGM 2014

The Timesavers AGM took place on 30th January 2014.

Here is the chairman’s Report for the previous year.

Chairman’s Report for Timesavers’ Third Annual General  Meeting Held on 30th January 2014.

Our Third year of operation has again proved very successful with the help of funding received from the Santander Foundation and the Big Lottery Fund together with income from sales of greetings cards.

We have good links with other voluntary groups in Certacs House who are giving us some admin work, photocopying and shredding for our clients to do. Some of our clients have had a short period of work experience with local employers.

There has been an increase in client numbers over the past year with some attending on a regular basis for up to 8 hours a week using support from their Personal Assistants for part of the week as well as our Sessional Support Workers.

Also links have been established with statuary and other bodies including Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, West Lancs CVS and Lancashire County Council Employment Support Service.

We have published and distributed our leaflets around the area and set up our own website- www.timesavers.org.uk .

I would like to thank Edward for maintaining and updating our website.

Sales of the greetings cards we produce for summer fairs, farm shops, community cafes and Parbold Post Office have exceeded our expectations and the money raised has been used to help with our running costs.

Finally I would to thank our committee of volunteers and the sessional support staff from West Lancs Positive Living for their help and assistance over the past year.

J G Haggart.
