Timesavers have received a grant for £500 from the Community Chest of West Lancs Borough Council.
Timesavers is a charity that provides an office administration service for voluntary sector organisations in West Lancs in order to give work experience opportunities for people with learning disabilities who have found it difficult to find paid jobs or work placements in office administration. Timesavers work also includes shredding and the making of greetings cards.
Secretary and Charity Trustee Edward McCarthy said: “I am delighted with this funding award. Thank you very much on behalf of everyone. We are currently seeking work placements in local organisations for our trainees, our trainees have already successfully carried out some placements with our support. If you can offer a placement please ring or email us for details.”
