Sobell Foundation

sobell-logo A local charity is celebrating after receiving £2,000 from the Sobell Foundation so that they can continue to provide support and work experience opportunities for people with learning difficulties in West Lancashire.

Timesavers provide work experience to local people with learning difficulties by providing an administration service for local voluntary organisations. Timesavers was set up in 2010 by a group of parents to provide work experience for local people with learning difficulties.

Timesavers said: “We are delighted with this very generous donation. People with learning difficulties can struggle to find employment but thanks to the donation, we will be able to continue providing work experience and other opportunities to residents in West Lancashire. We hope our recent funding awards can allow for new opportunities for our participants and allow for the further growth of the charity. We hope that any employer reading this article will come to our assistance by providing unpaid office work experience for one of our clients for just a few hours per week. Your help would be very much appreciated.
