Funding News

We have recently received a grant of £2,500 from the Community Champion Small Grants Scheme through West Lancs CVS which will go towards enhancing the digital skills of people with a learning disability by expanding the range of training Timesavers gives to include Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel, together with the Hallmark Card Making Program.

The training will be provided in a supportive environment which makes it easier for our clients to learn new skills without feeling under pressure or stress and can work at their own pace.

In order to improve the social aspect of our project the clients would like us to include some social activities to help develop the friendships they have made on the project and this will improve their ability to integrate and socialise again which will reduce their isolation and improve mental wellbeing helping them to meet their needs in line with Timesavers Objectives.

Arnold Clark

In July 2021 we received £1,000 from the Arnold Clarke Community Fund which will go towards upgrading some of our office equipment and general running costs.

The Trustees would like to thank Arnold Clark for their kind donation.

COVID – 19

Our Clients have now started to return to the office and we are still maintaining the area as a Covid free environment with regular sanitising of equipment and surfaces.

We are looking forward helping them once again with their computer and office skills.  The visits to our office at Certacs House will encourage our clients to become active again and get into a regular routine which helps them improve their physical and mental wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem after the impact of COVID-19 and their enforced isolation because of shielding. We also include in our project some training to use video chat applications together with the safety aspects of using this type of social media.
